The Central Asian area is confronted with a number of acute obstacles as it attempts to transition long-term electrical power supply. Small-scale hydropower systems may be viable answer these problems. nations' resources are allocated unevenly. Regardless, remains the most exploitable renewable energy source in area, both Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan possessing some world's highest potential. Nonetheless, for fossil-fuel-rich nations like Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, will play significant role future balance. Furthermore, because rivers often run across many boundaries, water security plays an important cross-border relations between countries. To achieve effective exploitation small potential, technological financial expenditures needed improve levelised cost (LCOE) diverse hydroelectric equipment by increasing lifetime, improving efficiency, yearly output. Several issues can resolved installing micro plants minor irrigation canals. A pumped hydro storage system should also tested certified better usability. hydrological digital twin relevant river network constructed increase understanding performance enable system-level improvement. optimal necessitates constant monitoring network, necessitating development intelligent employing sensors conjunction control smart grid interactions. This review focuses on broad efficient use existing resources, which still underutilized.
